Triompe de Vienne
A French variety
Originated in Vienne Isère, France. Raised by Mr Jean Collaud in 1874. A good, heavy cropping dessert pear which ripens very quickly.
This is an elongated pear, a little bumpy, golden yellow when ripe, can be green with a large amount of russet. The flesh is white, juicy, more or less coarse-grained, sweet, fair flavour.
Season is late August-early September
