Heritage Open Day
Sunday 12th September 2010
On our last Heritage Open Day we had around 300 people visiting the orchard, Ecoworks and some of our plots. As usual feedback was very positive, with comments on the improvements over the last year. We also met people who have an interest in the site – one man came with a photograph of his relatives taken in the gardens in 1890. Now that we are able to control access to the site, it’s even more important to allow supervised access to the public and open days are the best way of doing this. So thanks to tenants who opened their gardens and helped out on the day. It keeps our funders very happy and promotes our beautiful site.
