Events and activitiesone of the allotment avenues on a snowy day

We want as many people as possible to experience the heritage of these incredible allotments by holding regular activity days, open days and gardener workshops. Our staff also lead guided heritage tours of the site, give talks and presentations to interested groups and take mobile exhibitions out into the community.

If you are interested in any of these please contact Helen or Mo at STAA.

Orchard Activity Days

The Community Orchard holds activity days usually on the third Sunday of every month.

Our next ones are:

Fruit Tree Learning Weekend

Saturday 13 February 2010

Learn how to plant, manage and prune your apple and pear trees and explore the fruit tree heritage of the St Anns Allotments.

Gardener Consultation Event

Tuesday 16 February 2010 4pm - 7pm

Opportunity for our gardeners to discuss management of the site.

Gardener workshops

We are now holding regular hands-on workshops throughout the year for tenants, from fruit tree pruning to sustainable gardening. Our latest workshops are:

Winter fruit tree pruning

Most of these workshops are run on an avenue by avenue basis. If you are interested in joining one, or would like us to organise one for your avenue or neighbouring gardeners, please contact Marc Richmond or call the STAA office.
